Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the YourShare app, operated by Loic Muller, who is the data controller responsible for the personal data described here. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact support@yourshare.fyi.

Data we collect

Account data: your email address and an account ID, via Supabase Authentication.

Data you enter or import: trades (date, asset, type, amount, fee, price, units, source), watchlist items, strategy plans (price-trigger rules you define), saved What-If scenarios, and portfolio assets you track. If you use AI Trade Import, we also process the screenshots or text you provide for that import. We do not store those screenshots or that text once the import is done.

Purchase records: if you subscribe to YourShare Pro, the plan you bought, its dates and status, and Apple's transaction IDs, so we can unlock Pro on your account. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card or payment details.

We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or any bank or brokerage account credentials, and we do not link your account to any external financial institution.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the app's functionality: tracking your portfolio, showing live prices, running your What-If scenarios and strategy plans, and (if you use it) extracting trade details from imported screenshots or text. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not run any analytics or tracking SDKs in this app.

Legal bases for processing (EU / UK)

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR:

To provide the app you signed up for (your account, your portfolio data, account emails, AI Trade Import when you use it, and Pro if you subscribe): performance of our contract with you.

To keep the app secure and working (preventing abuse, enforcing usage limits, and checking that the service is up): our legitimate interest in running a safe, reliable service.

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling or advertising, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

Third parties we share data with

Anthropic (Claude API): if you use AI Trade Import, the screenshot images and/or pasted trade-log text you provide — which may include real transaction details such as dates, tickers, amounts, and prices — are sent through a server-side proxy to Anthropic's API to extract structured trade data. This only happens when you actively use that feature.

Finnhub: ticker symbols are sent to look up stock and crypto prices. This is not linked to your identity.

Frankfurter: currency codes are sent to look up exchange rates. This is not linked to your identity.

Resend: used to send you account emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset). Only your email address is shared with this provider for that purpose.

Supabase: our backend infrastructure provider, hosting your account and all data described above, protected by row-level security scoped to your account.

Where your data is stored and international transfers

Your account and portfolio data are stored by Supabase in Japan (Tokyo region). The European Commission recognises Japan as providing an adequate level of data protection.

Anthropic (AI Trade Import) and Resend (account emails) are based in the United States. When personal data goes to them, we rely on the safeguards in their data-processing terms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Finnhub and Frankfurter receive only ticker symbols and currency codes, not personal data.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all of its data at any time in the app: tap your initials (top left) ▸ Account ▸ Delete Account. You can also email support@yourshare.fyi and we will delete it for you, except where we are legally required to retain certain data. Copies in our hosting provider's routine backups are removed as those backups expire. Screenshots and text sent through AI Trade Import may be kept by Anthropic for a limited period under its own retention policy; Anthropic does not use them to train its models.

Security

Your data is stored in a database protected by row-level security, so only your account can read or write your own records. Data in transit is encrypted (TLS).

Your rights — European Union / United Kingdom (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You can do much of this yourself in the app: tap your initials (top left) ▸ Export trades to get a copy of your trades, or ▸ Account ▸ Delete Account to delete everything. For anything else, email support@yourshare.fyi and we will respond within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).

Your rights — California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Your rights — Australia (Privacy Act 1988)

If you are located in Australia, this policy is intended to be consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You may request access to or correction of your personal information, and request its deletion, which we will honor except where we are legally required to retain data. Where your data is disclosed overseas (to the service providers listed above, in Japan and the United States), we take steps consistent with APP 8. You may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Cookies and web tracking

YourShare is a native app and does not use cookies or web tracking technologies. We do not operate a companion website that sets cookies.

Children's privacy

YourShare is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
